so since google reader is going away very soon (boo!), i have been sorting through old things. it just occurred to me that i might be losing all my starred stuff from way back that i still haven't gotten around to re-reading. pages and pages of stuff, going back to 2008. sigh.. some were just for lulz . others are articles and things i'm glad i saved. share? a lot of stuff about becoming "unstuck".. getting out of creative slumps . and havi brooks' post on asking why that i wish i remembered more often. also, why don't i have an artist statement ? (not that i show anyone my "art"...) and tons of crafty tutorials , but i guess that goes without saying. i was also reminded.. should i be using evernote? because it seems like everyone is. hmm. so i've switched over to feedly , and i'm liking it so far. nice clean interface, and it has an iphone app. works for me! and i've discovered today that my stars will be comin...

some doll-related blogs that i subscribe to... we play with dolls : read and be updated on blythe, pullip, and bjd news. also tutorials on customization and such. and this is how i discovered pika and mika . sigh! latidah : companion blog for the latidah flickr group for lati yellows. not updated very often, but love seeing lati pictures! feltland : a bilingual personal blog with awesome photos of miniatures. lots of dollies as well! requiemart , of course: great photos, tutorials, reviews and more. there have to be more out there... recommendations, anyone?

mattar paneer , from manjula's kitchen 5 minute chocolate mug cake , from twinklyspangle (i am tempted to start it up now.. hmm) homemade oreos , from with sprinkles on top nutella-stuffed sugar cookies , from nibbledish spicy roasted cauliflour , from chez cayenne i have an entire folder of these in my bookmarks. we really need to get cooking over here...

have you seen the on the dot creations blog's polka dot parade ? they are featuring my ladybug buttons along with a bunch of other cute stuff. like this cupcake craft pack , which i recognized because i had hearted it already some time ago! think of the doll dresses i could make, or maybe a zipper pouch.. sigh. i also have photos of my finished dyeing disaster yarn, but i'm having trouble getting into my flickr account. i really wish they had not joined up with yahoo.. i've been having issues with that account since november. gah! so no pictures for this entry, which is too bad. the yarn turned out better than i expected! so, off to email yahoo yet again... *grits teeth*

i keep wanting to post as in plurk mode. synesthetic has: a headache. to help wind down, i will type a bit about blogs. (= at crafty leftovers you can get a monthly subscription for a kit made up of reclaimed crafty stuff, a pattern, and a zine. you can also find tutorials, patterns, reviews... just go look, there's tons to see! corporate free christmas has lots of ideas for gift-making instead of buying this holiday season. this was a timely find for me, since i've decided that this year is going to be handmade gifts only. there's a link to a coaster tutorial that's giving me some ideas... brooklyntweed is another great knitblog. it's worth reading for the beautiful photography alone. also, more patterns. today i thought i'd post about some of the blogs i read regularly, especially those about crafting, etsying, and dolls. (i'm partial to google reader..) first is the storque , of course. here you get updates on everything going on at etsy, and you can subscribe to certain sections alone if you want.. etsy news, reviews, how-tos, etc. there is also unofficial etsy news , which is an unaffiliated source for news only. this is great for when etsy is down, and, well.. times when they aren't keeping us abreast of everything.
